The loss of a limb [in my case ~ my right leg above the knee] was devastating. Getting that limb back has been nothing short of a miracle. Rocky Mountain Prosthetics and Orthotics has been my lifeline back to a surprisingly incredible and fulfilling life. My wife and I are very grateful that Kees took the time to get to know us on a personal level. He answered every question and concern with compassion and expertise. He ensured that the definitive prosthetic was suited for our lifestyle and my daily routine. Kees also guided us through the paperwork that seemed daunting at the outset.
That care and compassion continues to this day in the form of unexpected telephone calls just to see how we are doing. I am also encouraged to come in for regular assessment/adjustments to my leg as my stump redevelops.
I am not sure who coined this saying, but it has been a positive message for me: “I smile for the same reason I breathe, because if I didn’t I would die.” Rocky Mountain Prosthetics and Orthotics has given me back my smile.
